Pingus 2015 (D.O. Ribera) Del Duero (2 bottles), RP 99, JS 97
Pingus is among the top 1% of all wines in the world. It is a strong and dark colored with floral notes of violet, lavender and lilac, black fruit notes of blackberry, plum, and black fruit. There is also spicy notes of licorice, pepper and cinnamon. Pingus 2015 is a young wine but it has elegance and structure. In the wines of Ribera del Duero a mutual beneficial relationship goes on between the traditional Spanish grape Tempranillo and the Bordeaux grapes Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The product result is always a gem of a dark, smooth and well balanced wine.

A layer and rich red with dark berries. So floral and beautiful with burnt orange and cedar undertones. Full body, very fine tannins and long, rich finesse, yet always fresh and vivid. Needs four to five years to soften. Try in 2022.
